On Friday afternoon, the Jonathan Dayton High School Girls Volleyball teams will play against Mount Saint Mary Academy with an extra special added touch to their uniforms – pink!  Two home games will be played in the main gymnasium.  The varsity game begins at 4:00 p.m. and the junior varsity follows at 5:00 p.m.  The event has been listed on the Springfielder.com Community Calendar.

They’re calling it a “Volleyball Pink Out” and have adopted the cause for the month of October with a clever spin.  The clever slogan on a Facebook page created for the event reads, “Get ready for the girls to dig the cure, set the spike & kill cancer.”  For the “pink out”, they plan on changing as much of their wardrobe as possible to pink and they are asking for the community to come out and support the team while also donning pink.
