A cast of thirteen high school students will be putting on a performance of ‘Arsenic and Old Lace’ tonight, Friday, November 15 at 7 p.m. and tomorrow, Saturday, November 16 at 7 p.m. in Halsey Hall Auditorium at Jonathan Dayton High School.  The dark comedy play was written in 1939 by Joseph Kesselring and was later adapted into a film that was released in 1944 and starred Cary Grant.

The show is being directed by one Dayton’s English teachers, Anthony DeNicolo.  DeNicolo has been teaching at the high school for six years and this will be the sixth fall drama that he directs.  The students auditioned September 19th and they have been rehearsing for about 2 months according to DeNicolo.  The leads in the performance are Devin O’Brien as Mortimer, Julianna Pica as Abby and Bethany Ralston as Martha.  Dress rehearsals were held on Wednesday, November 13 and Thursday, November 14.
