At the Township Committee regular meeting on Tuesday, January 14, the Springfield First Aid Squad announced the 2014 slate of officers for their volunteer organization.  The executive board members and field leaders were introduced and sworn in before officially taking office.

For the third consecutive year, Elizabeth Fritzen will serve as the President and Kenneth Siletski will serve as the Vice President.  The other members of the board include Secretary Jill Siletski, Corresponding Secretary Amy Rossomando and Treasurer Zachary Sandman.  This is Rossomando’s first year as a Board officer.

Long-time member Apu Mullick will remain the Captain while Shane Ronan remains the First Lieutenant.  Richard Raymond will be the new Second Lieutenant.  Jeffrey Shanes will be the Training Lieutenant. Matthew Raymond takes on new responsibilities as the Supply Sergeant.  Stu Maslow joins the House Committee.

The Springfield Volunteer First Aid Squad was founded on March 18, 1949 and provides the community with emergency medical services as an organization that is non-profit, tax-exempt and separate from the Township of Springfield.  President Liz Fritzen thanked the Committee and noted that this is their 65th year of providing a vital service to the community.  Committeeman Ziad Andrew Shehady thanked the members and reminded Springfield residents that in addition to joining the squad, they can help by making a donation to the Squad on their website at www.springfieldfas.org
